Salt Water

Can Koi fish live in a salty water? - Loi

They can live in water with a small salt concentration, about 1 pound per 100 gallons. People typically use 3 to 5 pounds per gallon when treating parasites. You have to be careful and test your salt levels frequently. Water evaporates and salt doesn't, so its concentration will increase. If you add salt, make sure it is pure and doesn't have any additives like Iodine.

You can remove salt by doing water changes.
